Renato Corona has been impeached through the vote of the 188 Representatives of the Filipino people on a lot of charges; alleged violations of law embodied in our Constitution. The second step now is for him to be tried in an impeachment court – the Senate Presiding over the historical hearings with probably an Associate Justice as presiding officer because the Chief is the one on trial. I am not sure of this. Or the Senate may not need an associate SC Justice in this trial of the years.
